Forgiveness is the deliberate act by which we overlook someone’s mistake. In the Bible, the Greek word translated as “forgiveness” literally means “giving up”, as when a person no longer requires repayment of a debt. Jesus (Yeshua) used this comparison to instruct His disciples to pray…”Forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who sins against us. And lead us not into temptation” (Luke 11:4). But forgiveness goes even further. We forgive others when we have no hard feelings and give up any pretension to receive compensation for the pain caused or loss. The Bible teaches that unselfish love is the basis of true forgiveness – “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking. It is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs” (1Corinthians 13:4-5). Now forgiveness does not mean tolerating evil. God’s Word condemns those who argue that bad actions are harmless or acceptable. “Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil, that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” (Isaiah 5:20). Forgiveness is not behaving as if nothing happened. God forgave King David’s grave sins, but He didn’t spare him of the consequences of his actions. God even provided for David’s sins to be recorded in the Bible, so they are known even to this day (2 Samuel 12:9-13). God does not forgive those who are guilty of sins committed maliciously refusing to admit their mistakes, change their ways of action, and apologize to those whom they made to suffer. “Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper, but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy” (Proverbs 28:13). Those people who do not repent become enemies of God, and He does not ask us to forgive those whom He does not forgive.
I was born a Gentile, but upon inviting Jesus Christ into my heart and life as Yeshua Ha Mashiach (Jesus the Messiah the Anointed One), I was grafted into the Tree of Life and the Tribe of Z’vu*lun (Zebulun). As a Messianic Believer in Yeshua, I, and my family, continue to learn and move closer to the teachings, examples, and the ways of the First Century Church as outlined in the Book of Acts. So, today, we walk in submission (cooperation) to the leading of the Ruach*Ha Ko*desh (the Holy Spirit), and join into this Day of Repentance, Prayer, and Fasting. I shall remember you this day in prayer, also. May I thank you for how you touched my life, and may I say to you:

Yom Kippur being Sealed for a Good Year to Come!!!
As begins Yom Kippur on sundown in these united States …
Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh אֶהְיֶה אֲשֶׁר אֶהְיֶה – We are thankful for all that You give to us in Your triuneness,
for the comfort and conviction of the Ruach Ha-Kodesh, for all that You do for us, for all that You teach us.
We thank You for guiding us to live our lives in Your will, in Your purpose, in Your plan for us.
We thank You for Your protection from worldly influence and danger, for bringing us gently
to a deeper knowledge of You and what Your will is for us, with Your love, mercy, grace
and redemption through Yeshua HaMashiach.
“This is to be a lasting ordinance for you: On the tenth day of the seventh month you must deny yourselves and not do any work … because on this day atonement will be made for you, to cleanse you. Then, before the Lord, you will be clean from all your sins. It is a Sabbath of rest [Shabbat Shabbaton], and you must deny yourselves.” (Leviticus 16:29–31)
The holiest and most solemn day of the Jewish year begins tonight:
Yom Kippur (The Day of Atonement).
This day is so important that the Torah calls it the Shabbat Shabbaton(Sabbath of Sabbaths).
Even secular Jews observe it by fasting and refraining from all work, despite not observing other Jewish holy days.
As the sun sets tonight, all around the world, the Jewish People will begin a 25-hour fast. It is traditional, therefore, to greet friends and family today and tomorrow with Tzom Kal, which means Easy Fast.
Yom Kippur is the culmination of the Ten Days of Repentance that began with Rosh HaShanah, which is believed to be Judgment Day.
That judgment which was issued on Rosh HaShanah—in other words, our fate—is sealed in the Book of Life today.
This highest of holy days stands apart from all other days as the last day to repent and make amends.
The traditional greeting, therefore, is G’mar Chatimah Tovah (May You be Sealed for a Good Year)!
During Temple times, the High Priest entered the Holy of Holies on Yom Kippur to offer incense and the blood of the sacrifice at the mercy seat so the people would be cleansed from their sins.
Because the Holy Temple no longer stands, the purification offering outlined in Leviticus 16 can no longer be offered.
Believers in Yeshua (Jesus), however, can come confidently before God, knowing that His atoning sacrifice cleansed us from our sins.
Unlike the other high priests, Yeshua does not need to offer sacrifices day after day, first for His own sins, and then for the sins of the people. He sacrificed for our sins once for all when He offered Himself.
As Yom Kippur begins today, about 99% of the Jewish People do not know Yeshua, and their names are not in His book.
May you and your family be inscribed in the Lamb’s Book of Life for a happy, healthy, prosperous Jewish New Year!

The Jewish people (the People of the Book)
gave the world the BIBLE. Today there are about 14 million
Jewish people in the world though most have never studied
the Messianic Prophecies. Finally, for the first time, there will
be a Hebrew Messianic Prophecy Bible, based on the
Ancient Dead Sea Scrolls and Masoretic texts translated
into hundreds of languages, exposing the true meanings.
Many have falsely said that God is finished with His
Chosen People; however, Bible prophecy clearly states that
this will never be so. In fact, in these Last Days, God is moving among His people to physically and spiritually restore them.
